Built With Its Readers

This site does not belong only to whoever made it. Iqbal belongs to everyone who loves him — and so does this. If you know his verse, help us get it right and make it fuller.

What you can send

  • A couplet we’re missing. The corpus is growing toward the whole canon — tell us which verse should be next, with its source if you know it.
  • A correction. A wrong word, a Devanagari slip, a shaky translation, a mis-attributed couplet. Precision matters here — help us hold the bar.
  • A translation or language note. A better English rendering, or a nuance the translation misses. We want this site to read well in every language Iqbal’s readers use.
  • A rendition. A recording of Iqbal’s verse — qawwali, ghazal, Coke Studio, a school assembly — that belongs in the Listen archive. Send the link and we will set it beside the verse it carries.
  • Your voice. If you read this poetry the way it deserves to be read, the recitation project needs you. Tell us, and we will be in touch.
  • An idea. A poem to decode, an essay you wish existed, a feature that would help, a way in for newcomers.

Write in English, Hindi, Urdu, Persian — any language at all. Every message is read by a human, and the good ideas genuinely become part of the site.
