Aajizi

आजिज़ी
said aa-ji-ZI
also written: ajizi, aajzi
Meaning

Humility, meek helplessness, lowly submission and entreaty.

Literally: From aajiz (helpless, weak) + abstract suffix: the state of helplessness.

Usage & notes

Aajizi is the humble self-effacement of the supplicant before God, a fitting posture in worship; yet Iqbal cautions that such humility must never become the habitual weakness that dissolves the ego before men.
