Usage & notes
Daawat, in its moral-spiritual sense, is the call to a higher truth — the summons that rouses others to faith, dignity, and action. Iqbal's own poetry is itself such a call: a daawat to awaken, to affirm the self, and to rise from servility. He values the courage to issue this call and the responsiveness of a living heart that answers it.
