Usage & notes

Ittehaad is unity, union, or solidarity. It is one of Iqbal's central political and spiritual ideals: the unity of the millat, and beyond it the brotherhood of mankind, grounded in the unity of God, tauheed. He preaches ittehaad relentlessly against the divisions of caste, race, and territorial nationalism that splinter a people's strength.
