Kaaba

काबा
said KAA-ba
also written: Ka'ba, Kaba
Meaning

The cube-shaped House of God at Mecca, the holiest site of Islam and focus of the pilgrimage.

Usage & notes

The Kaaba is the spiritual heart of Iqbal's world, the center toward which all Muslim devotion converges and the symbol of tauheed made stone. He contrasts the living House of God with the lifeless idol-temple it replaced.
