Kamaan

कमान
said ka-MAAN
also written: Kaman
Meaning

A bow; also an arch or spring.

Literally: bow

Usage & notes

Kaman is the bow that launches the arrow. In Iqbal's imagery the bow drawn taut is gathered, concentrated power awaiting release, the tension out of which decisive action springs. Strength, like the bent bow, is proved in the moment it is loosed toward its aim.
