Mimbar

मिम्बर
said MIM-bar
also written: Minbar, Mimber
Meaning

The raised pulpit in a mosque from which the sermon is delivered.

Usage & notes

Iqbal sets the mimbar beside the mehraab as the seat of guidance and the throne of moral authority. He laments when the pulpit speaks empty words rather than rousing the community to life.
