Persian · noun · Love & Longing

Paikar

पैकर
Meaning

Form, figure, bodily shape; the beloved's beautiful frame.

Literally: Body, figure, image.

Usage & notes

Paikar names the form or figure — often the beautiful body of the beloved, or an embodiment of some quality (as in paikar-e-husn, the very image of beauty). Iqbal uses it for an idea given living form.
