Meaning
The pure and innocent prince of the Shahnama who passed unharmed through fire to prove his innocence, then was treacherously beheaded in exile in Turan.
Usage & notes
Siyavash is the emblem of unstained innocence martyred by treachery; his blood, from which a plant is said to have sprung, recurs as an image of the pure victim wrongfully slain.
