Aakhirat

The hereafter or afterlife that follows death and resurrection.

Literally: the hereafter; the next world

The hereafter — the eternal life to come after death, with its reckoning, reward and punishment, an article of faith set against the fleeting present world (dunya). Iqbal affirms the akhirat but resists otherworldly escapism: he reads belief in the next life not as a reason to despise this one but as a horizon that ennobles present action and makes the self answerable for how it builds and lives now.
