Fasaahat

फ़साहत
said fa-saa-hat
also written: Fasahat
Meaning

Eloquence; purity and clarity of expression in language.

Literally: eloquence; purity and clarity of speech

Usage & notes

Fasaahat is eloquence in the sense of pure, clear, well-formed speech, free of awkwardness. It is one of the classical virtues of the Arabic-Persian rhetorical tradition Iqbal inherited. He treats such command of language as a tool, valuable for the truth it can carry rather than for display.
