Ghuncha

A flower-bud, especially a tightly furled rosebud not yet open.

The ghuncha is the rosebud or tight bud — like the kali, the folded flower, but often pictured as a clenched fist or a knotted, tight-throated heart, the bud whose constriction (its 'tang-dili,' narrow-heartedness) is undone when it opens. It is held breath and gathered longing. Iqbal draws on the bud's pent constriction and its release into bloom as a figure for the self that must unclench, the knotted heart that opens into flower when the right wind reaches it.
