Meaning

Reality; the Truth, the ultimate essence (the opposite of majaz).

How Iqbal uses it

The awaited Real, glimpsed through the veil of the visible. He calls to it directly — “appear, O awaited Reality, in the garment of metaphor” — because a thousand prostrations are aching on his brow to behold it.
