Rukhsaar

Rukhsaar is the beloved's cheek — the soft radiant surface the whole ghazal adores, often likened to rose, moon, or flame. It is where beauty glows warmest, the blush that undoes the lover. Against the dark of the zulf, the bright rukhsaar is the face of light itself; in mystical reading it is the luminous self-disclosure half-hidden by the world's dark veil.
