Persian · noun · Nature & the Garden

Saahil-e-Darya

साहिल-ए-दरिया
said saa-hil-e-dar-YAA
Meaning

The river-bank or the seashore.

How Iqbal uses it

The shore where the wave breaks and the journey ends is in Iqbal an ambivalent place: refuge for the weary, but also the limit at which the timid stop short while the bold launch out onto the deep. He often prizes the storm-tossed sea over the safe shore.
