Sabr-azma
सब्र-आज़मा
also written: Sabr-aazma
Meaning
Testing one's patience; that which tries endurance.
Literally: Sabr (patience) plus azma (testing).
Usage & notes
Iqbal asks for some sabr-azma matter, a thing to try his patience, preferring a hard ordeal of love over easy comfort, since for him endurance under trial is itself a form of nearness.
