Usage & notes
The ufuq is the horizon — the far rim where earth meets sky, where the sun rises and sets and the dawn's red first shows, an emblem of the limit of sight and the place of beginnings and endings. It is the edge of the known. Iqbal uses the horizon for the frontier the awakened self is meant to push past: new dawns break at the ufuq, and the high ambition he prizes always reaches for what lies beyond the visible rim.
