Asma-ul-Husna
अस्मा-उल-हुस्ना
said AS-maa-ul-HUS-naa
also written: asma al-husna, asma-ul-husna, beautiful names
Meaning
The ninety-nine most beautiful names of God.
Literally: the Most Beautiful Names of God
Usage & notes
The "Most Beautiful Names" of God — the names by which He is known and praised (al-Rahman, al-Aziz, al-Khaliq and the rest), the windows onto His attributes. To know and assume the trace of these names is a path of the heart in Sufi practice. For Iqbal the believer is called to reflect these divine qualities in his own character and works, growing toward the vicegerent who mirrors his Lord.
