A sown field, tillage, or the standing crop of a cultivated plot.
How Iqbal uses it
Kisht is the field of cultivation, the worked earth where seed becomes harvest, an image of labour and its yield. It frames the husbandry of the soul and the community, where what is planted determines what is reaped.
