Usage & notes
Divine forgiveness — God's pardoning and covering of sins, flowing from His mercy and answering the believer's repentance. It belongs with rahmat among the hopes that sustain the heart against despair. In Iqbal's frame, assurance of God's forgiveness frees the self from paralysing guilt and restores it to confident, God-conscious action.
