Meaning

A confidant; one who is privy to secrets.

Literally: Raaz (secret) plus daan (knower).

How Iqbal uses it

Iqbal closes 'Sitaron se aage' by noting he once stood alone in the assembly but now has confidants, a quiet claim that his message of selfhood has finally found kindred listeners.
