The Interpretation
Spoken by the spirit of the earth welcoming the newborn human, this verse sets a vast measure of human possibility. A person who builds the self fully can move the era and draw the attention of the heavens. Iqbal sees the human being not as a small creature but as a force the cosmos must reckon with.

Do not shrink your sense of what you can do. The work you build with a strong self can shape the times you live in, and that is not arrogance, it is your inheritance.
