Persian · noun · The Heart & the Body
Be-sabri
बेसब्री
said be-sab-ree
also written: Be-sabri
Meaning
Impatience and want of forbearance, the heart's inability to wait or endure quietly.
Literally: want of patience
Usage & notes
Be-sabri is the restless impatience of a heart that cannot bear to wait, the opposite of sabr. Iqbal, who otherwise prizes patient endurance, also knows the holy impatience of the seeker too eager for union to rest content.
