How Iqbal uses it
Daad means justice and the cry or plea for it, the redress a wronged person demands. Iqbal lends voice to that cry on behalf of the oppressed, the peasant, and the poor, insisting that the demand for daad will not be silenced forever. The plea for justice, in his verse, is the rising voice of the mazloom.
