Khuluus is heartfelt sincerity — the pure, unmixed warmth of a feeling or devotion with nothing false in it. Iqbal prizes this purity of heart in love, faith, and friendship: a sincere bond binds people truly, while a self-interested one corrodes from within. He treats unfeigned sincerity as the genuine substance beneath outward forms of devotion.
