Mojza

मोजज़ा
said MOJ-za
also written: Mujza, mu'jiza, mojza, mojezah
Meaning

A prophetic miracle, a supernatural sign granted to a prophet to confirm his mission.

Literally: that which renders others powerless

Usage & notes

A miracle worked by a prophet (mu'jiza) as a divine sign confirming his mission, distinct from a saint's karamat. Iqbal accepts the prophetic signs of scripture, but the "miracle" his thought celebrates above all is moral and historical — the world-transforming power of revelation and of the believer's awakened spirit, the proof of faith written in changed lives and civilizations.
