Raad

रअद
said ra-ad
also written: ra'd, thunder
Meaning

Thunder, the deep roll of sound that follows the lightning of the storm.

Literally: thunder

Usage & notes

Raad is the thunder, the cloud's voice that rolls before or with the lightning — the loud herald of the storm and the rains, sometimes a sound of warning or majesty. It is the audible companion to barq's flash. Iqbal sets it within the storm's machinery, the roar that accompanies upheaval and the breaking of the cloud's bounty over the earth.
