रिसालत
said ri-saa-LAT
also written: Risalat, risalat, risala, messengerhood
Meaning

Prophethood; the divine mission of carrying God's message to humanity.

Literally: the office of (divine) messengership

Usage & notes

Messengership — the mission of the rasul charged not only with receiving revelation but with delivering a law and shaping a community, the second article of the Muslim creed after tauheed. Iqbal contemplates the Prophet's risalat as the force that forged a transformed society out of revelation, and reads the Prophet himself as the supreme model of the active, world-building realized self.
