Usage & notes
A shaair is a poet. Iqbal's ideal poet stands close to the prophet: a seer whose vision and burning word can awaken a slumbering nation and shape its destiny. He scorned the poet who trades only in pretty sorrow and prized the one who breathes fire into a dying people.
