Tasleem
Complete submission and surrender of one's will to the will of God.
Literally: submission, yielding, handing oneself over
Tasleem is the surrender of one's will, the laying-down of resistance. Iqbal draws a careful line here: submission to God can be the highest freedom, the act that makes a self sovereign over everything else, but submission to other men, to fate as an excuse, or to oppression is the death of khudi. He honours the surrender that strengthens the self and condemns the resignation that dissolves it.
