The Interpretation
One overheard line of beauty in a gathering sets the poet off, and he answers it with so many couplets that the recitation swells into a whole diwan. It is a charming picture of inspiration as overflow — beauty glimpsed once becomes a flood that cannot be rationed.
For You, Today
When something beautiful catches you, let it pull more out of you than you planned — a single spark is meant to be answered generously.
A light, affectionate couplet about how beauty provokes art faster than the poet can contain it.
