visal-e-yar furqaton ki rut badal nahin raha
badan qarar pa gaya hai dil sambhal nahin raha

Union with the beloved does not change the season of separations — the body has found rest, but the heart will not steady.

The Interpretation

The couplet refuses the easy promise that union ends longing — reunion does not change the season of separation. The fine distinction is in the close: the body has found rest, but the heart still will not settle. It captures the strange truth that physical closeness can leave the deeper restlessness untouched.

For You, Today

Getting what you longed for can quiet the body and still leave the heart unsteady — do not expect arrival to silence everything.

A couplet whose insight is that union and peace are not the same thing, the heart outlasting the body's satisfaction.
