Persian · noun · The Heart & the Body

Be-qarari-e-dil

बेक़रारी-ए-दिल
said be-qa-raa-ree-e-dil
Meaning

The restlessness of the heart, its inability to settle into calm while it longs.

Literally: the restlessness of the heart

How Iqbal uses it

Be-qarari-e-dil specifies the heart as the seat of restlessness, the inner organ that will not be stilled by longing. Iqbal makes such heart-restlessness a cardinal virtue, the throb that keeps the self forever in pursuit of a higher horizon.
